Insurance Literacy Training

Overview

The Insurance Education training provides consumers, small business owners and community-based organizations information and materials on insurances.

Objectives:

To provide training by qualified skilled licensed insurance professionals with a focus on educating in the following areas:

• Determining insurance needs (homeowners/renters, auto, health, flood, life, etc.)

• Understanding how insurance products and professionals work

• Evaluating insurance options and comparison shopping for coverage

• Recognizing and avoiding potential insurance fraud, scams and consumer-unfriendly business practices

• Understanding consumer and privacy rights related to insurance
